Alyce J. Lanning, 94, of Canastota, passed away Thursday, March 2nd at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville. Alyce was one of ten children born to the late Charles and Mabel (Chubb) Willey. She earned her G.E.D. and attended Syracuse University to study nutrition. Alyce worked as a cook for the Head Start program for many years in Syracuse.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Lanning, 2 daughters, Terry Rogers and Jeanette Zander, and eight brothers and sisters.
Alyce is survived by her five sons: Robert (Gloria) of Hannibal, Thomas (Becky) of Oregon, Ronald (Janelle) of Idaho, Michael (Dawn) of Denver, CO and Jeffrey (Janet) of Chittenango; a daughter, Kathleen (Mike) Croyle of Cicero; a sister, Elsie (Robert) Palmer of Florida; 21 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren
