Andrew G. Giegold, Jr.

Andrew G. Giegold, Jr., 96, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully October 13^th, 2022. Andrew was born in Cambridge, MA, to the late Anna E. (Luther) and Andrew G. Giegold, Sr. and raised in Mt. Vernon, NY.

Andrew was a US Naval World War II veteran based at both the US Navy Photo Science Labs and US Naval Research Labs in Washington, DC on special assignments throughout both Atlantic and Pacific Theatres of War.

Before Naval Service, Andrew was employed by United Press International of NYC as a staff photojournalist. After the Navy, he was photographic and marketing entrepreneur, creating over half a dozen nationwide companies.

Andrew was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Jean (Coleman) in 2016.

He is survived by his two daughters: Susan (Victor Petit) Giegold of Liverpool and Bonnie (Daniel) Cleary of Bloomfield, NJ; and her two granddaughters, Samantha and Jennifer Cleary.
