Angela C. Simonds

Angela C. Simonds, 75, long-time resident of Cicero, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Angela was born in Syracuse to the late Frank and Mary Porpigilio and spent her formative years on the North side of the city. She was a 1969 graduate of Henninger High School.

Angela dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker, creating a nurturing home filled with love and warmth in Cicero, where she resided for the past 48 years. Angela found delight in visiting casinos, with Seneca and Turning Stone being among her favorites due to their proximity. Above all, the time she spent with her family and grandchildren was her most treasured experience. Her greatest joy was her family.

In addition to her parents, Angela was predeceased by her loving husband of 31 years, Howard Simonds Jr., in 2009, by their daughter, Heather, in 2010, and by her brother, Frank Porpiglio Jr.

She is survived by her four devoted children: Howard (Jackie) Simonds III of Constantia, Jamie (Dan) Glover of Rochester, Jason (Megan Duffy) Simonds of Albany, and Justin (Leah) Simonds of Clay; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Friends may call on Monday, July 20, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale, with a 7:00 pm Funeral Service following. A Private Burial will be held in North Syracuse Cemetery.
