Diana L. Arney

Diana L. (Zielinski) Arney, 60, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday, May 6th. A lifelong resident of Syracuse, Diana was the daughter of the late Edward and Arlene (Golden) Zielinski. She was raised in the Westhill area and was a 1974 graduate of West Genesee High School.

Diana worked for many years as the bartender at the American Legion Post #1361 in Tipp Hill. She was a former communicant of St. Patrick's Church.

Diana is survived by her children: Teri (Joshua) Scheirer of Fairmount, Jeffrey O'Brien of Camillus, and Cynthiana O'Brien of Fairmount; a foster son, Steven Leitzel; six siblings: Andrew (Sharon) Zielinski of Syracuse, Walter (Cindy) Zielinski of East Syracuse, Brenda (Bill) Hloderwski of Baldwinsville, Darlene (Mike) Arney of Syracuse, Thomas (Mary) Zielinski of Lafayette, and Mary (Scott) Miller of Canastota; five grandchildren: Gregory, Joshua, Madison, Madelynn, and Benjamin; several nieces and nephews as well as her beloved pets: Howard, Jose and Mia.

Friends may call on Thursday from 4 - 6 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a Funeral Service afterwards at 6:00 pm.
