Faye A. Brooks

Faye A. (Vadeboncoeur) Brooks, 86, of Westwood Ave., Mattydale, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 after a short illness. She was born in Syracuse and lived in Mattydale for over 50 years. Faye was a 1950 graduate of Valley Academy High School.

Faye worked at Carrier Corp. where she met her husband, Bob, then later retired from Red Star Express. Faye loved her family, friends and faith. She was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church where she was a long-time member of its Altar Rosary Society. Faye especially loved being a part of the Mattydale-Hinsdale Seniors and all the great friends she made there.

She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Robert Books, in 2001.

Faye is survived by her daughters: Judy (Dennis) McKenney of Liverpool and Diane Brooks of Baltimore; her sons: Paul (Julie) Brooks of Camillus and Jerry Brooks of Mattydale; and her grandchildren: Jeff, Andrew, Kelley McKenney and Mitchell Brooks.

Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Prayers will begin on Tuesday, 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret’s Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
