Margaret Buddie

Margaret "Marge" (Breyer) Buddie, 88, of Mattydale, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015, at home. Marge grew up on the North side of Syracuse where she graduated with Honors from Assumption Academy in 1945, and was the daughter of the late George and Clara (Reeber) Breyer.

Marge was a business partner with her late husband. Together they owned and operated Mattydale TV out of their home for over 50 years. She loved music and dance and played the piano and organ. Marge was an avid reader who encouraged personal growth, fair play and open mindedness in all of her children. She fostered an ongoing curiosity in all things. She maintained a summer home on the Oswego River for many years where she enjoyed swimming and water skiing with her family. Marge also had fun bowling, playing bingo and beating her kids at video games. She was a long time communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale.

Marge was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Victor W. Buddie, in 2011.

She is survived by their five children: Patricia (Peter) Schinto of Liverpool, Thomas (Marianne) Buddie of Raleigh, NC, James (Linda) Buddie of Cato, Donna (Dennis) Votra of Baldwinsville, and Christopher (Rita) Buddie of Phoenix; 13 grandchildren: Elaine, Aileen, Cynthia, Michele, Jacqueline, James, Daniel, Tonya, Brian, Caron, Kyle, Justine, and Victoria; her 11 great grandchildren: Stacy, Timmy, Peter, Christina, Ronald, Alexa, Curtis, Maximus, Alexander, Mason, and Lyra, with another expected in May; and a great great granddaughter, Alina.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, 10:00 am, at the funeral home with burial in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
