Robert Burchell

Robert E. Burchell, 79, of McMahon Place in Liverpool, died Sunday, February 26, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Robert was born in Waldon, NY but grew up in various areas of the country while traveling with his family including Mattydale and Ohio, where he graduated High School. He was the son of the late Robert E. and Eula (Mosher) Burchell.

Robert retired in 2004 after 30 years in the Advertising and Display Department of the former M. Litchman & Co. and later Eber Brothers in Liverpool. He enjoyed gardening and caring for his home and family. Robert attended Christ the King Church in Liverpool where he served as a Eucharistic Minister.

He was predeceased by his brother, Herbert.

Robert is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Nancy (Lorber); two children, Bridgett (Robert) Ruggiero of Cornelius, NC and Kevin (Christy) Burchell of Webster, NY; a brother: Everett (Kathleen) Burchell of Fairmount; 5 grandchildren: Alexander, Francesca, Brendan, Stephen, and Wyatt; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-6 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. A Prayer service will begin on Thursday, 9:15 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Catholic Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle, Liverpool. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
