David G. Emore, of Cicero, passed away on October 16, 2026, at the age of 68. Born in Syracuse, Dave was the son of the late Louis and Joan Emore and grew up in Pitcher Hill.
A graduate of North Syracuse High School class of 1977, David dedicated 30 years of his professional life as an assembly worker with New Process Gear and the former Chrysler Corporation, before retiring in 2005. He was a member of their UAW Local #624, where he helped maintain an active community and support network for both current and retired workers. As a member of the South Shore Gun Club, Dave not only indulged in his love for shooting but for hunting and fishing as well. His craftsmanship in woodworking, especially with his grandson, was a source of pride and joy, creating many customized projects for his family. Above all else, Dave treasured his family. He was a dedicated husband and a proud grandfather, whose favorite moments were spent attending his grandchildren's sporting events and family gatherings, where his presence and laughter will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, the former Michelle Tamilia; their two children: David (Amanda) Emore of Norwich and Ashely (Toby) Wells of Brewerton; his four grandchildren: Dominic, Elaina, Savannah, and Scarlett; and several nieces and nephews.
Contributions in Dave’s memory may be made to Griffin’s Guardians, PO Box 1661, Cicero, NY 13039.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 26th, 11:00 am, in St. Margaret’s Church, 200 Roxboro Rd., Mattydale. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Cicero Fire Dept., 8377 Brewerton Road, Cicero.
