Linda DeFio

Linda DeFio, 68, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Crouse Hospital with her family by her side. Linda was born July 13, 1948 to the late Louis H. and Betty J. (Higgins) Kimball. She was a native of the North side of Syracuse where she graduated from North High School in 1966. She resided in Syracuse for most of her life and in East Syracuse for the past year.

Linda retired in 2009 after 20 years as an Anesthesia Technician for Crouse Hospital in the Operating Room. She took great joy with her beautiful gardens and flowers. We will all miss her beautiful projects and crafts, all made with love.

Linda was predeceased by three siblings: Debbie DiBello, Robert J. Kimball, and Shirley Kimball.

She is survived by her two sons: Nicholas (Jennifer) DeFio of Syracuse, and Michael (Joanne) DeFio of East Syracuse; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Hailey, and Matthew DeFio, and Juliana (Jake) Wilkinson; two great grandchildren, Piper and Michael; three siblings: Gloria (Douglas) Caldwell of Fulton, Louis Kimball of Syracuse, and Rose (Thomas Freund) Daniels of Canastota; and by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral Services are Thursday, 10:30 am, at the funeral home with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt, following.
