Arthur J. Denny

Arthur J. Denny, 88, of Richfield Blvd. in Mattydale, died Friday, February 17, 2017, at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse. Born in Ogdensburg, NY, Arthur was the son of the late Alfred and Amelia (Seguin) Denny and resided in Mattydale since the early 1960's.
Arthur was a US Army veteran serving in World War II and Korea where he received a Purple Heart for his wounds. He retired in 2002 after 15 years at Thor Metal and 15 years at Continental Can. Arthur also worked for Syracuse Stamping and several years in the security division. He attended St. Margaret's Church.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Marie Capper, in 2002 and his son, Thomas, in 2014.
Arthur is survived by a son: John Denny of Mattydale ; his three grandchildren: Savannah, Maria and Thomas J. Denny; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, 2:00 pm, at North Syracuse Cemetery, 555 South Bay Rd., North Syracuse.
