Carmella E. DePalma, 64, lifelong resident of Syracuse, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015. Carmella was a 1969 graduate of Cathedral Academy and attended the Convent of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Albany, NY. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Cerio) Tallarico.
Carmella retired in 1991 after 20 years as a supervisor from American Bank Stationary Company. She volunteered at St. Rose of Lima School Cafeteria and Bingo games. Carmella was an avid cook and loved cooking for anyone. She enjoyed traveling and visiting religious shrines and was a communicant of St. Daniel's Church.
In addition to her parents, Carmella is predeceased by her brother, Peter Tallarico, Sr.
Carmella is survived by a daughter: Caroline (Kyle) Harmer of San Antonio, TX and her
father, James DePalma; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; a step-mother, Mary Tallarico of North Syracuse; and her beloved cat, Friskie.
Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30-11 am at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a Service following. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
