Dominick Scripa

Dominick Scripa (Dom), 78, of Syracuse, passed away on December 19th, 2022, surrounded by his family. Dom was a barber of 63 years and the owner of Dom’s Shear Pleasure. Being behind the chair and becoming close friends with his customers were things he enjoyed and loved. Dom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He loved casino trips, working in his garden, and making sure everyone always had a smile on their face; he prided himself on being the “jokester” of the family.

Dom is predeceased by his mother, Rose (Gentile) Scripa; father, Louis Anthony Scripa; and sister, Rosemarie (Scripa) Alessi.

Dom is survived by his wife, Lorraine Scripa; his children: Rose (David) Lunden, Tricia (Scripa) Procopio, and Lorry (Edward) Peck; a brother-in-law, Joseph (Fran) Georgianna; his grandchildren: Alfonso (Michael), Dominique (Steven), Jonah (Rachel), Loren (Joshua), Michaela, Jonathan, and Sara (Amber); and his great grandson, Ayden.

Dom would like to extend his greatest appreciation to Pastor Michael and Jordana Marzano, as well as Dr. Gupta and staff for all their support.
