Dorothy "Dottie" J. Krausnick

Dorothy “Dottie” J. Krausnick, 68, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday, September 21^st unexpectedly. Born in Denver, Colorado, to the late Cecil and Jane (Carruthers) Leggett, Dottie was a 1972 graduate of Bishop Grimes High School. She attended OCC and the Syracuse School of Automation and resided in the Hawley Green and Eastwood areas for most of her life.

Dottie retired in 2010 as a store manager for Byrne Dairy in Eastwood. Following that, she worked as a Home Health Aide for Loretto and Pace of CNY for several years. She was the past Treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary of the General Pulaski American Legion Post in Syracuse. Dottie was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and Syracuse University sports. She loved to bowl and was on several leagues in the Syracuse area for many years.

Dottie was predeceased by her former husband, William Krausnick, in 2015.

Surviving is her son and daughter -in-law, Matt and Melissa Krausnick, of Cicero and two grandsons, David and Jason.

Calling Hours will be Monday, 4 -7 pm, at the Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Burial will be in the family plot at St. Agnes’ Cemetery, Syracuse.
