Douglas W. Tillotson

Douglas W. Tillotson, 66, of Mishawaka, IN, and formerly of North Syracuse and Buffalo, NY, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025, after a 2-year illness. Born in Gowanda, NY, Doug was the son of the late James and Bessie Tillotson. He grew up in North Syracuse and attended North Syracuse High School with the class of 1978.

Doug was a US Navy veteran, serving aboard the USS Blueridge and stationed for 10 years in Japan and The Philippines. After 31 years as a long-haul truck driver, Doug retired in 2022. He loved traveling all over the US and tent camping with family before graduating to RV camping in 2015. Doug also loved riding his Honda Goldwing motorcycle locally and on group tours in the Eastern U.S.

Doug is survived by his daughters, Sarah Tillotson of Buffalo, NY and Georgia Tillotson of Cleveland Heights, OH; two stepdaughters, Bailee Sims of Eugene, OR and Madison Sims of Denver, CO; and his siblings, Beverly Rogers, of Perrysburg, NY, James (Lind) Tillotson of North Syracuse, NY, and Mark (Nicole) Tillotson of Modesto, CA, plus numerous nieces & nephews. Doug has three grandchildren: Mackenzie, Angelina, and Pablo Vasquez; and two great-grandchildren, Amari and little baby Kemza, born recently.

Friends may call on Saturday, August 16th, from 4:00 -7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a 7:00 pm Service of Remembrance following.
