Mary Catherine Dwyer (Dwyer)

March 29, 1942 — May 4, 2015

Mary Catherine Dwyer, 73, lifelong resident of Mattydale, passed away Monday, May 4, at home. Mary was a 1959 graduate of North Syracuse High School and was the daughter of the late William and Anna Dwyer.

She retired in 1993 after more than 30 years as the manager of the Accounting Department at Crouse Hinds Corporation in Syracuse. Since then, Mary worked as the office manager of the Food Bank at St. Margaret's Church where she was a parishioner and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed spending time at her family camp in Goose Bay, NY.

Mary was predeceased by her brother, James Dwyer, in 2012.
She is survived by her four siblings: Michael Dwyer of New York City, Martha Dwyer-Fletcher of Mattydale, Timothy (Sharlene) Dwyer of Mattydale and Theresa (Mark) Danial of Bethlehem, PA; a sister-in-law, Denise of FL; nine nieces and nephews; and four great nieces.

Contributions in Mary Catherine's memory may be made to The Food Bank at St. Margaret's Church, 203 Roxboro Rd., Mattydale, NY 13211.

Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Prayer Services will begin on Tuesday, 9:30 am, at the funeral home followed by a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret's Church. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery.
