On December 22nd, Elena “Lee” Prahl, 90, left her family on Earth to spend Christmas in heaven. Waiting for her are her husband of 68 years, Robert and their infant son, Thomas; her parents, Luigi and Lenora Pellizzeri and her siblings and their spouses: Jimmy (Toni), Ralph (Mat), and Chickie (Garry). They are all ready for their long-awaited Christmas Eve card game.
Elena was the most kind, generous and selfless human being with an incredible work ethic. Directly out of high school she took a job at the telephone company that eventually became Verizon. She worked her way up from the ground level and built an impressive career, all while raising her family. She was the glue that kept our family together, but we will not fall apart now that she is gone because of the strong values, she instilled in us.
Left to carry on her legacy and family traditions are her daughter, Linda Liszka and son, Robert Prahl Jr; her grandchildren: Nicole (Ken) Williams, Justin (Melinda) Liszka, Amanda (Michael) Mosher, and Austin (Tracy) Liszka. Don’t worry, Gram, we will teach the great grand kids: Lily, Jude, Sofia, Addie, Wilder, Nova and Maisie our family traditions.
The family would like to thank her hospice nurse, Cassandra. Most of all we want to thank her granddaughter, Amanda. Amanda cared for her with love, compassion and dedication and allowed her to remain in the home her husband built for her. She would be so proud.
Contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088.
All Services were held privately and at the convenience of the family.
