Marjorie L. Buffum, 78, of Park Terrace in Baldwinsville, died Thursday, February 23, 2017. Born in Tonopah, Nevada, Marjorie grew up in Hugoton, Kansas and was a 1956 graduate of Hugoton Rural High School and earned her Business Degree in 1957 from Central Business College in Denver, Colorado. She was the daughter of the late Harry O. and E. Irene (Strawn) Ertz and resided in the North Syracuse area for 45 years prior to moving to Baldwinsville in 2015.
Marjorie retired in 2000 after many years as a food service employee at the North Syracuse High school. She enjoyed crocheting and was well known for her baby blankets. She loved giving them to expectant mothers. In her younger years, she bowled on several leagues at Strike 'N Spare Lanes. Marjorie enjoyed bingo, playing cards and ceramics.
She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Donald Buffum, in 2003.
Marjorie is survived by her children: Steven Buffum of Cicero, Pamela (Andres) Dise Echenique of Manlius, and Tammy (Jamie) Maule of East Syracuse; three siblings: Donald Ertz of CA, Melvin Ertz of ID, and Laura Rebstock of Albany; 6 grandchildren: Carrie, Cori, Samantha, Rachel, George, and Austin; 2 great grandchildren, Bradley and Charlotte; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 -7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home Inc., 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Graveside Services will be held Friday, 11:00 am, at North Syracuse Cemetery.
