Raymond Garcia, 53, of Syracuse, died Thursday at his home. Raymond was born in Manhattan NY and was a 1977 graduate of Corcoran High School.
Raymond worked for several years at Crucible Steel in Solvay as a Mechanical Engineer. Prior to that, he worked at B.G. Sulzle in North Syracuse. He was a handyman and was well known for being able to fix anything. Raymond was an avid Yankees and Jets fan and loved to frequent the Flea Markets on Sundays.
He was predeceased by his father, Rafael and by two brothers, Carmello and Carlos.
Surviving are his wife of 13 years, the former Joyce (DePasquale); four sons: Raymond "Tito" (Myra) of NYC, NY, Joseph (Erica) of Syracuse, NY, Derrick of NC, and Raymundo (Marie) of Syracuse; his mother, Ana (Jose) Corajo; a sister: Ana Donath; two step children, Samantha and Robert Cavelli of Liverpool; eleven grandchildren: Tyler, Joseph, Noah, Jared, Alyssa, Max, Brayden, Ryan, Priscilla, Sammie, and Cassy; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 11am - 1pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, NY. Funeral Services will begin at 1pm at the funeral home followed by burial in Loomis Hill Cemetery.
