Gerald "Jerry" Winslow, 87, of Palmyra, NY, passed away Saturday, June 24th at home. Jerry was born in Johnson City and grew up in the North Syracuse area. He was a 1954 graduate of North Syracuse High and was the son of the late Clair and Mary (McHugh) Winslow.
Jerry was a US Navy veteran. He retired in 1998 after 25 years as a cement finisher for the Brick Layers Union in Syracuse. Jerry was a life member of the VFW Post #3146 and the American Legion Post # 1832 both in Mattydale and enjoyed bowling in his younger days.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Joyce, his second wife, Kathleen, and by his children: Brian, Patricia, and Gerald Clair Winslow.
Gerald is survived by his three children: Sheryl Winslow of Syracuse, Michael Winslow of Mattydale, and Kevin Winslow of Fulton; two brothers: Don (Donna) Winslow of Indian Trail, NC, and Robert "Bob" (Mollie) Winslow of Houston, TX; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
