Elizabeth "Liz" A. Greenia, of Parkrose Estates in Liverpool, NY passed away on May 26, 2016. She was born in Mattydale, NY, to Mary Duda Kolodziey and Stanley Kolodziey on November 21, 1933. She attended North High School and went on to earn her Associates Degree from CCBI. She worked for Carrier Corporation and retired in 1999.
Elizabeth was a true nature lover and avid bird watcher. She volunteered at Beaver Lake Nature Center, and participated in many of their nature programs, field trips and traveled to Alaska and other places with their group. She also loved taking field trips to Montezuma Wildlife Refuge and participating in the local Folksmarches with friends. Elizabeth also loved books, especially books about wildlife and nature related topics. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Cicero.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Leonard M. Greenia, who passed away on the same date as Elizabeth in 1975, her daughter Sharon E. Greenia, and her son Leonard G. Greenia. She is also predeceased by her brothers John, Walter, Louis, Frank and Stanley, and sisters Mary Czyz, Virginia Akillian, Helen Kolodziey and Jane Brunet.
Elizabeth is survived by her 5 daughters, Lynn ( Richard) Schneider, Michele Greenia, Laurie (Gary) Meyers, Catherine Greenia, and Mary (Guy) Nunnellee, her daughter-in-law Katherine Greenia, grandchildren Lauren Canna, Erin Schneider, Seth Greenia, Sophia Greenia, Paul Meyers, Joseph Meyers, Michael (Shalana) Greenia, Karianne Dixon, Eric Nunnellee and Alex Nunnellee, and her great-grandson Dominick Merrill. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Rose Kolodziey, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

A blessing, eulogy and prayer will follow calling hours on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 4 - 7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale, NY 13211. Burial will be private.
