Olivette "Eve" Gronowski

March 18, 1923 — July 27, 2019

Olivette “Eve” Gronowski, 96, of Toas Ave in Mattydale, died Saturday, at the Cottages at Garden Grove in Cicero. Eve was born and raised in the Dover, New Hampshire area. She resided in Buffalo for 20 years before settling in Mattydale in 1996.

Eve worked at Clarostat in Dover as a solderer and assembler. She spent most of her time raising her children and attending to her family. Eve enjoyed crossword puzzles, drawing, reading, gardening and cooking. She was well known for the pies she baked. Eve looked forward to her annual trip to Dover to visit her family and the ocean each year. She was also a lover of cats.

Eve was predeceased by her children’s father, Robert Schaffer and her second husband, Norman Gronowski in 1993.

Surviving are her three children: Karen (Raymond) Goulet of North Berwick, Maine, Mark (Nancy) Schaffer of Colden, NY, and Kristina Jenne with whom she resided; two grandchildren: Kristen Hudson and Courtney (Ryan) Jones of Liverpool; and a great grandson, Julian Jones.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 10 am - 12 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Burial will be in private Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
