Peter M. Haught

Peter M. Haught, 52, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. A native of Tupper Lake, Peter grew up in Syracuse, attended Ashland High School in Ashland, Ohio but resided in Syracuse for most of his life.

Peter was a Air Force Veteran serving in the Philippines. He was a dedicated truck driver for the Byrne Dairy Corporation for more than 25 years. Peter loved a diverse assortment of music and held it close to his heart. Peter played guitar for many years and was an encyclopedia of musical knowledge especially for groups such as Rush and Triumph. He had a passion for grilling and was an avid fisherman especially enjoying Horseshoe Island. Peter was a fan of S.U. Basketball and the Buffalo Bills.

He was predeceased by his grandmother Irene Zurawski and his father, Ancel Haught.

Peter is survived by his three children: Jennifer Haught of North Syracuse, Christina Haught of Liverpool, and Joseph M. Haught of Brewerton; his mother, Barbara J. Fedor; his siblings: Thomas Haught of OH, Trina Greer of FL, Todd Haught of OH, Leslie Koenig of OH, Timothy Morrick of OH, and Gregg Bolton; and a granddaughter, Aviona Stachurski.

Friends may call on Saturday from 2 - 5 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a funeral service following at 5 pm with full military honors.
