Jabari L. Hayes, 28, of Oakland, California, passed away unexpectedly on June 10th, 2019. Jabari was born and raised in Oakland where he graduated from Rusdale High School in 2009.
He was a US Army veteran serving during Afghanistan. Jabari enjoyed boxing and physcial fitness especially running. He was caring, loving and fun to be around. Jabari enjoyed time spent with his nieces and nephews.
Jabari was predeceased by his grandfather, Joseph Chaplin.
Surviving are his mother, Lashaun Chaplin of Oakland; his father, Mandingo Hayes of Richmond; three brothers: Ludaugh Love, Jr., of Oakland, Treshawn Hayes and Mandingo Hayes Jr., both of Richmond; several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews and the love of his life, his “granny” Phyllis Chaplin of Jacksonville, FL.
All Services will be held in Oakland, California. Donations in his memory may be made to Military with PTSD, 5900 Twickingham Dr. Evansville, IN. 47711.
