Carolyn Holden

Carolyn Bruno Holden's loving heart took its last beat on Sunday, June 28, 2009 after many years of struggling with severe heart disease. Her tremendous strength for life will be her legacy and for this her heart will live on forever. Carolyn, 66, resided in Houston, Texas, but Syracuse was her home for many years. She retired from Pennzoil Products Company as a sales representative in 1992. Her love of people led her to volunteer for many non-profit organizations in Houston, TX and Arcadia, CA.

Carolyn was predeceased by her mother, Frances R. Bruno in 2008.
Surviving are her partner: Christine Lorence; her son: Christian Holden Dominic Levasseur of San Francisco, CA; her father: Henry Bruno of North Syracuse; four sisters: Christina John Sobecki of Leesburg, VA, Francine Thomas Camino of Syracuse, Mary William Mocarski of Baldwinsville, and Patricia Jack Silvia of Liverpool; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be at St. Margaret's Church, Mattydale on Thursday, July 2 from 10:30am – 12:00pm with a Memorial Mass at the Church immediately following. In her memory, donations may be made to the Texas Heart Institute, Heart Failure Clinic & LVAD Program, 6770 Bertner Ave, Houston, TX 77030 or to St. Margaret's School Scholarship Program, 201 Roxboro Rd, Mattydale, NY 13211.
