James E. Burton

James E. Burton, 75, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday. A native of the North side of Syracuse, Jim was the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Harrington) Burton. He was a 1967 graduate of Henninger High School and resided in Starlight Estates in Syracuse for the past 20 years.
Jim retired after 30 years as a truck driver for New Process Gear. He was a life member of the Pastime Athletic Club, a season ticket holder for Syracuse University Sports for many years, and an avid sports fan. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his two brothers, Tom and David Burton.
Surviving are his three children: Raymond (Cathy) Burton of Liverpool, Carol Burton of Syracuse, and James Burton Jr. of Chittenango; a brother, Dennis Burton of Clifton Park; two grandchildren, Saige and Shawn; and several nieces and nephews.
