Joan E. Doldo

Joan E. Doldo, 87, of Mattydale, passed away on June 14, 2025. Born in Watertown, Joan devoted many years of her life to nurturing the minds of children, serving as a special education teacher with the Liverpool Central School District. Her heart extended beyond the classroom, as she was a proud dog mom of her two beloved companions, Chico and Coco. As a devoted communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale, Joan found solace in her faith and in being kind to others.

Joan was predeceased by a son, Joseph Castro, and is survived by two sons, Robert (Valerie) Castro of Mattydale and Gregory (Darlene) Castro of Watertown. She was the proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren and the adoring great-grandmother to many. 

Friends may call on Saturday, June 21, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale, with a funeral service following at 7:00 pm.
