Janet L. Kessler (Leahy)

Janet L. Kessler, 82 of Mattydale died Tuesday at Elderwood at Birchwood in Liverpool. She grew up on the North side of Syracuse, graduated from North High and has resided in Mattydale since 1966.
She retired in 1992 after 20 years in the data entry department of the Royal Globe Insurance Co in Syracuse. Janet was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post # 1832 and attended St. Margaret's church both in Mattydale. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and playing horseshoes on several leagues.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Warren G. Kessler in 2013, Warren William Kessler, two siblings James Leahy and Ann Ferro.
Janet is survived by her daughter: Susan (John) Hrynyk of Liverpool; her husband's children Michael (Cathy) Kessler of Camillus; Cynthia Fairbank of Syracuse; 10 Grandchildren, Including Christine M. Abbatiello; many Great Grandchildren and a brother-in-law Stephen Ferro of Syracuse.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral Services will be 11 am Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery.
