Mary Claire King, 90, formerly of North Syracuse, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Iroquois with her family by her side. Mary grew up in New Bedford, MA. After her marriage to her husband, Bill, they moved to North Syracuse in 1950 to start their life together at 228 Carlton Drive. Mary resided in that home until 2008 when she began living with her daughter in Pennellville.

She worked at General Electric for several years. Following that, Mary worked part-time at various retail stores including C.E. Chappell's in Northern Lights. She was a member of the Home Bureau, a communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale and a member of their Socialites Group.

Mary was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, William "Bill" King, a grandson, Joshua Skrzypek, and her son-in-law, Brian Skrzypek.

Mary is survived by five daughters: Deborah (Robert) Fischer of LI, Diane King of Albany, Donna (James) Crandell of Pennellville, Denise Skrzypek of Niagara Falls, NY, Doreen (Greg) Allen of Chicago, IL; ten grandchildren: Sean, Chris, Brett, Kyle, John, Mary, Jamie, Jason, Alex, and Lexy; three great grandchildren.
The family extends their gratitude to the staff of St. Joseph's Cardiac Care and Iroquois Nursing Home.

Contributions in Mary's memory may be made to St. Margaret's Angel Fund, 203 Roxboro Road, Mattydale, NY 13211.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, 11:00 am at St. Margaret's Church, 203 Roxboro Rd., Mattydale. Friends may call on the family following the Mass at St. Margaret's. Private burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
