Francis R. Klock, 88, of North Syracuse, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at University Hospital. Born in Orleans, NY, Francis was raised in Ellisburg, NY before moving to North Syracuse in 1971. He was the son of the late Lionel and Lottie (Babcock) Klock.
Francis was a US Navy veteran of World War II. He retired in 1985 after 25 years as a bus driver with CENTRO Bus Company in Syracuse. Francis enjoyed wood working and carpentry even after becoming blind. He was always mechanically inclined and good with his hands. Francis also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family especially with his good friends, Shirley and Barney, and his niece and nephew, Lee and Gail.
He is survived by two sons: Dave (Peggy) Klock of Springfield, MA and Don Klock of North Syracuse and their mother, Esther Sutliff, also of Springfield, MA; two granddaughters, Jennifer Rossmiller and Melissa Ebbeling, both of Springfield, MA; and four great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, 11 am at the funeral home with burial following in Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
