Matthew G. Kneer

Matthew G. Kneer, 50, of Central Square, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 15th. A native of the North side of Syracuse, Matt resided in East Syracuse for the past 8 years before relocating to Central Square this year.

He worked in the construction and paving industries for his entire adult life. The past few years Matt worked for Michael Grimm Services in Baldwinsville. He enjoyed shooting darts and pool and was involved in various leagues over the years. Matt also enjoyed fishing and hunting deer.

He was predeceased by a sister, Angie Phillips.

Matt is survived by his son, Chaz Kneer of Syracuse and his mother, Melissa Kneer of Mattydale; a grandson; his brother, Earl Kneer; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and by his mother-in-law, Virginia Knafelc of East Syracuse.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 -7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a Funeral Service following at 7:00 pm.
