Gerald M. "Jerry" Lando

Gerald M. Lando, 82, died Monday at University Hospital. Jerry was a lifelong resident of Syracuse and was the son of the late John and Beatrice (Yehley) Lando.

Jerry served in the US Air Force as an Air Policeman in Korea during the Korean War. He retired from Muench-Kreuzer Candle company in 1993 after working as a materials handler for 20 years.

He was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Shirley, in 1998 and by his son, Jerry Lando, in 2007.

Jerry is survived by five children: John (Bernadette) Lando of Oswego, Timothy Lando of Granby, Shirley Luis of Fulton, Lynn (Fredrick) Prince of Mattydale, and Jason (Jackie) Lando of Oswego; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Rowe of Syracuse; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Friday from 12:30 - 1:30 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, Mattydale, with a service following at 1:30 pm. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
