Laraine Ann Fox

Laraine A. Fox, 71, longtime resident of North Syracuse, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025. A native of Mattydale, Laraine was the daughter of the late Edward and Charlotte Saur and a 1972 graduate of North Syracuse High School.

She retired this past March after 29 years as an associate at Big Lots in Mattydale. Laraine enjoyed bowling in many area leagues including Strike-N-Spare Lanes and liked to play bingo, mostly at Turning Stone. Laraine was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Syracuse University Athletics. She was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church in Mattydale.

In addition to her parents, Laraine was predeceased by her fiancée, Patrick Monaghan, and her grandson, Johnathan Fox.

She is survived by her children: Ronald (Tonja) Fox of North Syracuse, Heidi (John) Felix of Mattydale, Rodney (Lindsay) Fox of Hortonville, WI, and their father, Ronald Fox Sr. of Bridgeport. She also is survived by six additional children: Shannon (Smokey) McCauliffe of Syracuse, Heather Overton of Syracuse, Megan Monaghan of Westfield, NY, Amanda Monaghan of Syracuse, Kathryne Monaghan of Syracuse, and Bianca Gardener of Liverpool; her 30 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and 2 more expected soon; a brother, Edward (Debbie) Saur of Cicero; a sister, Charlene Romine of Mattydale; and by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Sunday, October 19th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale. The family asks that you wear team clothing or colors for the Green Bay Packers or Syracuse Orange swag to honor Laraine. Funeral Services will begin at 7:00 PM and private burial will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
