Lawrence B. Letiecq, 82, of Central Square and formerly of Sandy Creek, passed away Friday, September 16th at Morningstar Care Center in Oswego. Born in Floral Park, NY, Lawrence grew up in Briar Cliff, NY and was 1959 graduate of Briar Cliff High School. He went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Cornell College in 1963.
Larry worked for over 30 years as a hardware sales representative for several area companies including Vermont American before retiring in 1992. He enjoyed gardening and ran a side business called Aunt Essy’s Gardens for 20 years specializing in greenhouse Asiatic Lilys and other Perennials.
Lawrence was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Eslie Jeannette (Hull) Letiecq and by a son, Brian Letiecq, in 2020.
Surviving are his life companion, Brenda (Strutz) Gentile with whom he resided; two sons, Gregory Letiecq of Virginia and Daniel Letiecq of Sandy Creek; his three granddaughters: Lillian, Marian, and Courtney; and a brother, Norman Letiecq of Elkton, MD.
