Louise Yerdon

Louise "Lou" Yerdon, 98, of Cicero, died Saturday, November 1, 2025. A native of Syracuse, Louise resided in Cicero since 1963.

Lou worked at Affordable Flowers, later the name was changed to The Floral Gardens in Cicero, Syracuse and Mattydale for over 20 years. She was a waitress at The Hickory House in the 70’s. She was a bingo enthusiast, a Turning Stone Casino player, and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Cicero.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Yerdon, of 46 years in 2001 and by their son, John Yerdon, who passed away in 1989.

She is survived by two daughters: Kathy (Tom) Knittel of Cicero and Debbie (Don) Spraker of North Syracuse; her five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Lianne and Daryle Loguidice, Doug and Sue Loguidice, Brenda Heitkamp, and Chris Hoffman for always being available to help take care of Lou whenever needed. Thank you to Lianne Loguidice, Brenda Heitkamp, Chris Hoffman, and Joyce Hayes for being there at the end. A special thanks to the aides and nurses at Malta House.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral Services will begin on Wednesday at 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by burial in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
