Raffaele Madonna

Raffaele Madonna, 61, of Liverpool, passed away suddenly while in Chicago, Illinois on Sunday, November 16, 2014. Raffaele was born in Madalloni, Italy where he grew up before migrating to the U.S. in 1969. He resided in Syracuse for five years before moving to his home in Liverpool in 1974. Raffaele was the son of the late Pasquale and Maria (Troise) Madonna.

He was employed by Chrysler Corporation for over 40 years at New Process Gear before moving to the Rockford plant in 2008. Raffaele was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching football. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Liverpool.

Raffaele is survived by his wife of 40 years, the former Maria (Rotella); their two children: Anna Madonna-VanOrden (Kirt) of Rochester and Joseph Madonna at home; his three sisters: Michelle Iffrig, Luisa Procino, and Antoinette Faith; two brothers: Salvatore and Michael Madonna; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Friday from 9 - 10:15 am at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a prayer service following. A Prayer Service will begin promptly at 10:15 am followed by an 11 am Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Liverpool. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum, Syracuse.
