Mary A. Wallace

May 17, 1934 — April 12, 2026

Mattydale

Mary A. Wallace, 91, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Born in Cohoes, NY on May 17, 1934, to the late Patrick "Joe" and Lena Glynn, Mary began her schooling and graduated from St. Patrick's High School in Syracuse, remaining a lifetime resident of CNY.

She was predeceased by her husband, David L. Wallace, in 2012.

Mary is survived by her children: Constance Wallace of Mattydale, Lisa Robinson of Port Orange, FL, Mary (David) Coseo of Cicero, and David Wallace of Deltona, FL; five grandchildren: Kelly, Joseph, Julianne, Michael, and David; and her dear sisters, Sister Doreen Glynn, CSJ and Barbara Glynn.

Mary was a longtime communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale. Those who were blessed to have known her would remember her for her kindness, generosity, and humor. She was a friend to all and cared deeply for the less fortunate. Mary was an avid reader and was thought by many to be a potential contestant on Jeopardy. She enjoyed traveling and her decades of summers on Lake Ontario at Brennan Beach beginning in the early 1970's.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the caring staff on the Terrace at Menorah Park of CNY Jewish home where her final resting place and long journey with Alzheimer's disease was met with dignity and excellent compassionate care. As her last act of kindness, Mary's body was accepted for donation to the Upstate  Medical Anatomical Gift program.
