Charles Mason

March 25, 1931 — March 9, 2010

Charles E. "Charlie" Mason, 78, of North Syracuse, died Tuesday. Born in Martinburg, WV, Charlie served during the Korean War before retiring from the U.S. Air Force and Armored Motor Service of America. He was a life member of the North Syracuse Fire Department, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and of the American Legion Post #1832.
Charlie was predeceased by his wife, Muriel, in 1983 and by his son, Brian, in 1976.
Surviving are his son: Gary C. and his wife Rosalie Mason of Central Square; a granddaughter, Shannon and her husband Todd Tarasuik of Brewerton; his great granddaughter, Hayley House; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Services will begin at 10 am, Friday at the funeral home followed by burial with full military honors in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Contributions in Charlie's memory may be made to American Heart Association., 5575 Thompson Rd., DeWitt, NY 13214.
