Nancy Schneider

Nancy “Gram” Schneider, 83, died suddenly on Friday, October 28, 2022. A native of the Cato area, Nancy grew up in the Baldwinsville and Cato area before moving to Syracuse in 1965.

Nancy worked as a waitress for 20 years at various restaurants including: Wysocki’s Manor, Red Door North, and Anthony’s Manor before becoming a caregiver. She was a caregiver for over 40 years working until the age of 70. Mom cared more for others than for herself. She enjoyed playing bingo, playing card games, crocheting, and sewing. Mom attended Brown Memorial Church on Geddes Street in Syracuse. She was dearly loved and will be forever missed. She had a heart of gold.

Mom is predeceased by her one and only love, husband of 32 years, Ernest Schneider, and is survived by her three children: Victoria Kaufman of Syracuse, Ernest Schneider Jr. of Syracuse, and Valerie Schneider of Syracuse; five grandchildren: Matthew, Samuel, Rachel, David and Andrew; 13 great grandchildren: Unaria, Anthony, Samuel, Jennifer, Annabella, Alana, Samantha, Marina, Melina, Mhanley, Romana, Phoenix, and Owen; and 1 great great granddaughter, Myliea.

At her request, there will be no public services.
