Donald H. Otis, 73, of Pitcher Hill Apartments, died Thursday at James Square Nursing Home. Donald was a native of East Syracuse and a 1965 graduate of Minoa High School. He served for several years in the US Marine Corps Reserves. Donald retired after working more than 10 years as an independent tractor trailer driver and hauling steel on the Mason-Dixon run.
He was the son of the late Harold E. and Irene Harrison Otis and brother to the late Henry Jacques.
Donald leaves behind to cherish his memory his two sisters: Janice Harry Dean of Mattydale, and Catherine Garrison of Liverpool; a brother: Edward Ruth Jock of West Monroe; his step-mother: Gabrielle Otis of Mattydale; two aunts, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on Monday from 3-6 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale with a 6pm funeral service officiated by Rev. Harry Dean following. Burial will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden on Wednesday at 2 pm.
He was the son of the late Harold E. and Irene Harrison Otis and brother to the late Henry Jacques.
