James Palmer

James D. Palmer, 69, of Garden City Drive in Mattydale, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Syracuse, James resided most of his life in Mattydale and was a 1964 graduate of North Syracuse High School.

He retired in 2010 after many years as a heavy equipment operator with the I.U.O.E. Local #158 in Syracuse. James enjoyed camping and fishing especially at Kasoag Lake and Bernhards Bay. He was a former communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale.

James was predeceased by his father, Murray, in 1983 and by his brothers, Richard, Roy and Murray Palmer, Jr.

Surviving are his two children: Richard (April) Palmer of Cortland and Corine Bozeman of Baltimore, MD; his mother, Catherine Palmer of Mattydale; two siblings: Sandra Knapp of Minoa, and Keith (Melinda) Palmer of MI; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 pm.
