Patricia Ann Adams

Patricia Ann Adams, affectionately known as “GG,” passed away at the age of 88,

surrounded by her children. Born in Syracuse, NY. She was the daughter of the late Clayton and Margaret Orr and she spent most of her life in Mattydale, the community she called home.

Patricia spent her entire career in the grocery business, most notably dedicating 25 years to

Wegmans, where she was a valued and beloved member of the team. An avid reader, she

cherished quiet moments with a good book almost as much as she cherished time spent

surrounded by her family. She was also an avid bowler, proudly competing in a league for

over 20 years. She loved reminiscing about family stories and sharing them with anyone who

would listen. She was known for her infectious laugh, her love of fun, and her ever-present

happiness — a warmth that drew people to her and kept lifelong friends close by her side for

many years.

She is survived by her children, Patty (John Inderelst) Grossman of Paoli, PA and William

(Jennifer Wilcox) Adams of Clay, her four grandchildren, Nate Carmody, Josh Adams, Chelsea

Grossman, and Sarah Chila, who knew and loved her as “GG.” She is also survived by her

great-grandson, Milo, whom she adored and cherished spending time with.

She was preceded in death by her son, John Adams in 1993.

Patricia’s warmth, love, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale, NY 13211, on Friday, September 11th. From 3 to 6 PM. Graveside services will be held privately in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt.
