Paul F. Kruger

Mar 9, 1941 — Jun 21, 2026

North Syracuse

Paul F. Kruger, 85, long-time resident of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Syracuse to the late Walter and Elizabeth Kruger, Paul spent his formative years on the North side of Syracuse. A 1959 graduate of North Syracuse High School, Paul's early career began with a flair for creativity as a photographer for Carnation Enterprises although he was the family photographer throughout his entire life. His journey soon led him to the open roads as an independent over-the-road tractor-trailer operator. However, it was at R.C. Lambs & Company in Liverpool where Paul found his true calling, dedicating over 20 years working as an RV and boat mechanic before retiring in 1994. His work ethic was matched only by his entrepreneurial spirit, as he also delivered for Eckerd and snow plowed for many years during the winter months.

Paul's passion for classic cars was well-known, and he proudly co-founded the Tredz Car Club, where he shared his enthusiasm with fellow car aficionados. His prized 1968 Chevelle was a testament to his love for automotive craftsmanship. Beyond the thrill of the road, Paul found tranquility in camping and boating, particularly enjoying the waters of Oneida Lake.

In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife, Carol Kruger in 2019.

He is survived by his children: Carl (Katie) Kruger of Baldwinsville, Laurie Burns of Mattydale, and Greg (Debbie) Kruger of North Syracuse; two stepchildren, Shawn (Jean) Emmons of Mattydale and Stacey Emmons of North Syracuse; his 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and his lifelong sidekick, Don Stephani.

Contributions in Paul’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or to Helping Hounds Dog Rescue, 7268 Caswell Ave., North Syracuse, NY 13212.
