Paul J. Labozzetta, 64, a lifelong resident of Mattydale, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 9, 2026. Born in Syracuse, Paul was a 1979 graduate of North Syracuse High School and attended the Riverside School of Aeronautics in Utica.
Paul was a dedicated Quality Assurance Inspector, retiring in 2020 from Tactair Fluid Controls. He previously spent many years with Quality Inspection Services, Inc. of East Syracuse. He was a proud member of the Laborers Union Local #433 in Syracuse and a faithful communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale.
An avid sports fan, Paul's loyalty to his teams was well-known; he was a lifelong and passionate supporter of the Buffalo Bills, as well as the Cleveland Indians, rarely missing a game. When he wasn't rooting for his teams, he could be found in his workshop, puttering away on his latest project with his faithful dog, Molly, resting nearby. Paul and Molly shared a special bond, and she was truly his best furry friend and constant companion.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Carmin and Rosalie Labozzetta, and by his infant sister, Julie.
He is survived by his three daughters, Valerie Labozzetta of Mattydale, Katie Labozzetta of North Syracuse, and Danielle Labozzetta of Fort Drum; their mother, Kimberly Labozzetta of Cicero; a brother, Patrick (Zhilin) Labozzetta of Bridgeport; and a niece and nephew, Melissa and Michael.
Contributions in Paul’s memory may be made to an animal rescue of your choice to honor his love for his four-legged friend.
Friends may call on Monday, February 16, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a 7:00 pm Funeral Service following. Burial will be held on Tuesday, 11:00 am, in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
