Jennie Pufki

Jennie M. Pufki, 92, of Mattydale, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Jennie resided in Mattydale. Born in Pyrites, NY, a small town near Canton, Jennie was the daughter of the late Patsy and Clara Rocca. She resided in Mattydale with her family for the past 56 years.

Jennie worked as a librarian at the Town of Salina Library in Mattydale. She later retired from Hubbard Drugs, Mattydale. Jennie was a longtime communicant of St. Margaret's Church, a member of their Altar Rosary Society and Socialites group. She was a avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles.

Jennie was predeceased by five siblings: William, Guy, Rose, Mary, and Frank.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Michael Pufki; their two sons: Patrick (Charlotte) Pufki of Spofford, NH and Peter (Paudene) Pufki of Pennellville; a brother, Peter Rocca of Herman, NY; six grandchildren: David Pufki of San Francisco, CA, Thomas (Heather) Pufki of Wolfeboro, NH, Philip Pufki of Pennellville, Ami Rand of Pennellville, Kayla Pufki of Liverpool and Abram Pufki of Wolfeboro, NH; her great grandson, Wyatt; and several nieces and nephews.

Contributions in Jennie's memory may be made to the Salina Free Library, 100 Belmont St., Mattydale, NY 13211.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 3 - 5 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a funeral service following at 5 pm. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery on Thursday at 12 pm.
