Elizabeth Rainbow

January 28, 1920 — November 6, 2010

Elizabeth "Betty" A Rainbow, 90, formerly of North Syracuse, died Saturday at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center. Betty was a native of Parish and resided at 104 Williams Street in North Syracuse for over 60 years. Most recently she has been living at Keepsake Village at Greenpoint for nearly four years.
Betty was graduate of Parish High School. She worked for New Process Gear in East Syracuse as an assembler for 20 years before retiring in 1984. Betty enjoyed tending to her garden and lawn at her home and was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church.
She was predeceased by her husband of 20 years, Alfred A. Rainbow, in 1968 and by a brother, Walter Belinski.
She leaves behind her two sons: Gary Patty Rainbow of North Syracuse, and Alan Rosemary Rainbow of Liverpool; a step-son: Alfred Winnie Rainbow, Jr.; a sister: Frances Luis of Phoenix, AZ; her brother: Edward Marion Belinski of Skaneateles; four grandchildren: Jeannette, Gary, Matthew, and Nicolas; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale. A prayer service will begin on Thursday at 10:15am at the funeral home followed by an 11 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Contributions in Betty's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn. ADRA-CNY Chapter INC., 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
