Parish

Rebecca "Paige" J. Griffith, of Parish, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the age of 49 with her beloved companion, Howie and their dog Gemma by her side. Born in Malvern, Arkansas, Paige brought a vibrant spirit to every aspect of her life. Paige was raised in the Viola and Mountain Home areas of Arkansas, graduating from Mountain Home High School in 1995. She participated in the school basketball team, showcasing her teamwork at an early age.

Paige's passion for hospitality was evident in her involvement with the Griffith family business, 101 Boat Dock and 101 Place Cottages Resort, both located near Norfork Lake, Arkansas. Her commitment to the industry was further reflected through her membership in the Governor's conferences on tourism in Little Rock, and she coordinated silent auctions to fund scholarships benefiting the hospitality sector. Her enthusiasm was recognized as she served as a judge at bartending competitions and the Iron Chef Competition. Her work energy also extended to Sabella's, where she worked as a bartender, ran karaoke, and delighted patrons with her own karaoke performances.

Paige resided in Watkins Glen for a short while where she owned and operated Southern Hospitality cleaning high-end Airbnb’s before moving to the Syracuse area three years ago. Most recently she has assisted Howard at the funeral home with anything needed to maintain and operate his business. She was known by several aliases over the years, Angel Soft was her CB handle in her youth, Ozark Mama & Ozark Sherpa, and of course Paige developed since there were four other Rebecca’s in her relatively small school. Her most recent road name was Sip-E-Cup, bestowed upon her by her beloved M.C., Fire & Iron Station 99 of Syracuse. They adopted her as their first “Ladies of” member. Her road name reflected the fact that she was rarely (if ever) seen without a sippy cup in her hands. Paige was proud to be President Howard “Undertaker” Krueger’s first lady and embraced the entire organization. Her exuberant personality and distinctive looks made her a perfect ambassador for the station.

Everyone who knew Paige knew her love for being outdoors. From relaxing in her “Zen Zone,” to being on a boat on the lake or kayaking on the river, to hiking endless miles of trails, or just relaxing around a campfire, she would tell you, being outdoors was her “church.” Her soul was happy when she was out in nature. Knowing how healing the power of nature was for herself, she wanted to be able to share that feeling with others. Her love for hiking led her to create a group for women, using social media, to help foster that sense of empowerment and adventure in a supportive environment. The group started with just a handful of ladies who shared the same love of adventure and outdoors. Today, that group stands at nearly 3,000 members! All due to Paige’s huge personality, her infectious smile, and absolute joy at sharing her knowledge with everyone she could. Paige was immensely proud to found Women Hiking Over Mountains (WHOM). It was a designed to be an inclusive place for ALL women. This allowed women of all shapes and sizes, all backgrounds, all skill sets and skill levels, to learn from each other without feeling pressured or intimidated. Her goal was for each member to challenge themselves, to be fearless, and to be adventurous. She wanted them to gain confidence in themselves, and foster their shared love for the outdoors, while also bringing people together and creating a support system. Paige referred to this group as her “tribe.” She loved every member for who they are, not for what they could bring to the table. As the group continued to grow, Paige was amazed by the women who stepped up, stepped in, and shared the same vision. Watching women grow from quiet, shy, campground only campers, into fearless leaders of multiday backpacking trips, absolutely amazed her! It made her adventurous soul soar with love and pride. A little piece of Paige will always be with us whispering through the trees and rippling through the waters all around us.

She was predeceased by her parents, Robert Majors and Linda (White) Majors Moody.

Paige is survived by her chosen life partner and best friend, Howard Krueger, who was both her confidant and a source of unwavering support for the past few years. They packed a lifetime’s worth of memories into the few short years they had together and their relationship was like a bright, shooting star, breathtakingly beautiful but gone far too soon. She is also survived by her three children: Lucas (Krissy) Akins of Harrison, AR, Tristen (Jose Nieves) Griffith of Mountain Home, AR, and Darrian (Nick) Gannon of Gamaliel, AR and their father, Rob Griffith of Gamaliel, AR; her siblings: Chris Oldham of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Kevin (Jess) Majors of Jordan, AR, Billy Bob Majors of Melvern, AR, Pamela Majors Dove of Overland Park, KS; father-in-law, Bob Griffith of Gamaliel, AR; four goddaughters, Keela Smith, Morgan Price, Jillian Hudson, and Brittany Tyler; and her fur babies past and present including Tank, Sherpa, MJ, Dozer, Molly, Blackey, and Gemma Teller Krueger, as well as her Fire and Iron MC family.
