Hazel J. Sakowski (Lawton)

Hazel J. Sakowski, 80, of North Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Crouse Hospital. A native of the North side of Syracuse, she grew up in Fulton and resided in North Syracuse for the past 40 years. Hazel worked at several jobs including Williams Market, Sweetheart Grocery, OnBank and lastly at Hematology-Oncology Associates of CNY. She was an avid dart player and a member of the Salt City dart league and the Baldwinsville dart league. Hazel enjoyed camping with her family especially in the Adirondack region.
She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Sakowski, in 2014.
Hazel is survived by her children: Mickey (Megan) Heffron of Mattydale, Ricky Heffron if Minnesota, Bo (Deborah) Sakowski of Mattydale, and Michelle (Jeff) McCallister of Liverpool; a brother, Arthur Wilson of Syracuse; a sister, Pat (Gary) King of Cicero; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

All Services will be private. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery.
