Jennie F. Seibt

Jennie Seibt, 86, passed away peacefully on September 14, at Francis House. Jennie was born on March 18, 1935, in Candor, New York. She was the daughter of the late Matt and Sarah (Auringer) Delameter.

Jennie worked at Hall and McChesney Publishing and Print Company with her best friend Florence Raite (deceased). She was a devoted wife and generous mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a woman of faith and became a Catholic on May 19, 2019.

Jennie was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Horst, in 2012.

She is survived by her three children, Theodore (Sandy) Seibt, James Seibt, Barbara Denslow; six grandchildren, Thomas Denslow, Jennifer Seibt, Rev. Christopher Seibt, Jacqueline (Kevin) Weinheimer, Brandon (Kelly) Seibt, and Cameron Seibt; and two great grandchildren Alyson Denslow and Joseph Weinheimer.

Jennie’s family wishes to thank the staff at Francis House for their excellent care during her last days, her parish family at Saint Margaret’s Church for their support on her journey of faith, and her friends at Salina Civic Center for their companionship.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jennie’s memory may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208 or Saint Margaret’s Church, 203 Roxboro Rd., Mattydale, NY 13211.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, September 16, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Margaret’s Church 203 Roxboro Rd., Mattydale, NY 13211 on Friday, September 17, at 12 Noon. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery.
