Dawne Smith

December 23, 1940 — October 27, 2013

Dawne P. Smith, 72, of Wilkinson Place in Baldwinsville, Passed away Sunday at Crouse Hospital. Dawne was born in Augusta, Maine, where she graduated from Cony High School and she was the daughter of the late Roger and Leora (Ireland)Coté. Dawne resided in Baldwinsville for the past 40 years.

She retired in 2005 after 10 years as a data processor at Family Practice Associates in Liverpool. Dawne enjoyed sports and was an avid S.U. fan. She loved spending time with her family; they were the center of her universe. Dawne was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Baldwinsville.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Sherry Gilley.
Dawne is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert F. "Jerry" Smith; four children: Karen (Kevin Sheehan) Wilcox of Baldwinsville, Robert (Melissa) Smith, Jr. of Clay, Teressa (Sherman) Clarke of Liverpool, and Michelle (Mike) Ambriati of Mattydale; her nine grandchildren: Nicole, Nicholas, Bradley, Matthew, Erinn, Michael, Nicola, Darren, and Noah; her great grandson, Vaughn; a sister, Nancy Gerrier and a brother, Barry Coté of Augusta, ME.

Friends may call on Saturday from 10 am-2 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with funeral services following at 2 pm.
