Sandra L. "Sandy" Smith

April 12, 1945 — July 13, 2021

Sandra “Sandy” L. Smith, 76, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, July 13th, 2021. Born to the late Robert and Elizabeth (Langdon) Seagers in Clifton Springs, Sandy was raised in Florida and the Valley section of Syracuse. She was a 1962 graduate of Valley High School and attended Canton ATC.

She worked as a secretary at Westinghouse and the film library at Syracuse University and later as a home health aide through St. Joseph’s Hospital. Sandy enjoyed going out to see live music and dancing with her husband and friends. She adored her dogs especially her beloved, Molly. Sandy was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Church in Syracuse.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Carl Smith, Jr.; her sons, Carl (Cindy) Smith III and Robert Smith, all of Syracuse; a sister, Suzann Hall of West Virginia; and four grandchildren: Carl, Dakota, Bertha, and August.

Contributions in her memory may be made to Helping Hounds Dog Rescue, 7268 Caswell Ave, North Syracuse, NY 13212.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 -7:00 PM at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale. Services are Wednesday, 11:00 AM, at Our Lady of Hope Church, 4845 S. Salina St., Syracuse.
